CREATING LOGOS: COPYING - The easiest way to Masterr





If you look very closely at different Famous Logos your will find similarities in the design trend. Just as was listed on my last post.
My point is that you can actually pick up an existing logo and copy all the elements represented in the rules for a good logo design with infringing on trade mark violations or copyright.
I will try to demonstrate by using Logo of some graphic applications company Corel Corporations. The Application I will use to do this is CorelDRAW X4.

Even if you haven't Used CorelDRAW before, I will try and explain what every tool does and Just in case you are using a lower version of CorelDRAW for this exercise, there won't be much difference because this excersice is very elementary.

DESIGNING LOGOS

ViralNetworksLogos are unique visual representatives of any company. Unique memories triggers. Coca Cola, IBM, Microsoft, Addidas, Nike, Google, Yahoo, and many others are famous logos. Famous Logos are unique, attractive and stand out wherever you behold them. What gives them these qualities?

While designing a logo certain rules should be followed in other to achieve the same effect. When you apply the following rules you are on your way to possibly creating a (famous) logo that could last a lifetime.

One thing that is very obvious in these logos is that these logo designs are very simple. No fancy or complex graphic art work done. But yet they are excellent memory triggers.

Elements that help in making Logos famous Whether you are designing for an international business or for a market, product and services regionally. The elements of designing a logo would remain the same. Let’s take a look at these elements:
  • Logo design should be simple and should not create confusion.
  • Should follow the designing principles of color, form, consistency and clarity.
  • Should be effective in full colors as well as in black and white.
  • Should not lose its look and feel if reproduced on different objects.
  • Should be able to project company’s image, strength and integrity.

Whether the company belongs to hospitality industry, consumer or industrial good and services industry, Education, Religion, Travel and tourism industry, Estate and property etc. A logo design should contain all the above elements. These elements will help in making your logo stand in line with famous logos.
